Saeki’s Story: Part 3

Given that this was hardly one of his craziest ideas to inspire ideas for a script, and the fact that I was two seconds away from falling straight into his ‘princely’ arms, I smiled broadly.

“Sure, why not!” I said, perhaps a little too exuberantly because he actually seemed surprised. Then again, it wasn’t often that I went along with these little games of his. When the realization set in that I planned on cooperating, a grin quickly spread over his face and he clapped like a small boy who had just been promised ice cream and cake.

He then cleared his throat and closed his eyes with a deep breath. I tilted my head, curious as to what he was doing, but then suddenly found myself in his embrace again.

“If only we had more stolen moments such as these,” he practically purred against my ear. “I would shower you with my affections for hours.”

“If your dialogue gets any more flowery you’re going to start growing petals,” I said with a chuckle, though I wouldn’t admit that the velvety tone of his voice could make even the most corny of words melt my heart. It wasn’t going to be Saeki playing this part in the film, anyway, so the writing could not simply be saved by his natural sensuality. He pouted at me and I almost felt bad for being honest.

“I only speak that which my heart commands, my love.” Ah, he was still in character. It didn’t seem fair, however, that his ‘character’ seemed to know what touching the nape of my neck would do to me. I shivered as a chill ran through my spine and cursed him inwardly when I saw that knowing smirk claim his lips. “Oh, the things I would do to you should we have more than just a simple moment.”

“Ahahaa,” I laughed nervously despite myself, blaming it on the fact he’d drawn so close as to whisper it directly into my ear.

“Nothing to say…?” he whispered smugly and I huffed a deep sigh. Didn’t I just tell him that the heroine was supposed to be more forward, that she should not easily fall to the whims of the prince? Yet here I was, doing exactly that, proving that he had been writing it accurately the whole time! To be fair, I had not expected the elven prince to be anything like Saeki and now the two were meshed in my head as one person and I wasn’t sure I could take it. The charm was unfathomable to me.

I gathered all my resolve and reached up and shoved my hand against his chest to put some distance between us. A second more and he was going to have me swooning; I needed to take a breath.

“You really must control yourself!” I said, proud at the steady sound of my own voice. “I will not be undone by your charms so easily. My heart is more steadfast than you think… like…like a ….rock.”

“My goodness, hon,” Saeki brought his hand to his mouth to hide the giggles rising in his chest. “How absolutely poetic.”

“Oh, be quiet,” I said, blushing furiously and crossing my arms over my chest. “I’m not the writer, here.”

“Aw, don’t make that face,” he cooed, approaching me and cuddling me in his arms.”It wasn’t entirely horrible.”

“Gee, thanks.” I rolled my eyes. “Maybe this wasn’t the best idea.”

“Oh, no, no, no,” he insisted. “It’s a magnificent idea! You want to know why?”

Still a little dejected, I turned my eyes towards him as he tilted my head in his direction.

I looked at him, unable to keep my eyes from wandering over his soft features until they finally settled on the smile crossing his lips. As soon as I noticed this, he cupped my chin and pulled me in to kiss me. It was just like he began all his kisses, with the gentlest brushes of lips and teasing pecks before letting them linger longer when they began anew. I could feel the warmth of his breath as it played against my mouth and the warm, faint scent of coffee graced my senses just as light as his touches.

I felt my hands instinctively grasping the loose fabric of the shirt while his held my hips. As it was typical, I found myself easily lost in Takamasa Saeki, so when he finally parted from me, my mind was foggy with the pleasant sensations that I was certain only he could elicit from me.

“It is a good idea, isn’t it, love?” he murmured, lips still barely a breath away.

“Hmmnn.” A vague, agreeable noise was about all I could muster, and I heard him give one of those mischievous, low chuckles of his that meant anything but good. He bent down, and suddenly I was swept up in his arms, my heart leaping into my throat for some reason I couldn’t understand. It was just Saeki after all. He’d done this many times before.

I looked up at him and he returned the gaze with those promising, seductive eyes he used to tease me with when we first met. Then, as if to remind me why my heart was fluttering in my chest, he flicked his head to the side just a bit to knock some of the wayward long, black locks out of his eyes. It didn’t quite work, but it did make me want to start giggling like a complete idiot. There was absolutely no way this man was my husband. Almost married a year and I still couldn’t believe it.

“You know what we need to do now, right hon?” he asked.
